Democrats trying to sue, investigate their way to power
A righteous rant by guest host Erick Erickson
While I was traveling today, my friend Erick Erickson of RedState guest-hosted my show, which meant I had the unusual pleasure of being a listener to the Herman Cain Show.
And boy, was it a pleasure! Erick really gave us a stunning look at a widespread practice of Democrats to gain political power across the country, which is to simply file lawsuits and launch bogus investigations of Republicans - then make sure everyone knows these Republicans are "under investigation" even though the investigations are based on nothing. A few examples:
- The Obama Administration insists on continued probes and insinuations that Chris Christie was personally involved with Bridgegate, even though there has never been any evidence brought out that he was.
- A Democrat district attorney in Austin, Texas opens a grand jury probe of Gov. Rick Perry for nothing than his use of the line item veto - which is perfectly legal and constitutional in Texas - to cut some money from said D.A.'s budget.
