Time travel may be still relegated to the sphere of science fiction but this column is designed to take the reader through a brief history of George Soros' shifting biography that has been ignored by many but followed by us for more than thirty years.
After the early decades of George Soros' staying quiet and enigmatic about his beginnings and career path, this millennium he has been more visible and vocal regarding his vision for America, which is not beneficial to the people who founded and built this nation. Nor is his worldview one of prosperity for anyone other than himself and his elitist activist cohorts, not that he regards them as equals – he does not.
As Soros clamors for attention that he shunned up until he engineered devaluing the British pound in 1992, and other currencies such as the Thai bhat, his mission has been one of undermining and revamping governments around the globe in preparation for the ultimate demolition of American society. In the last decade more people have become aware of him and what his accomplishments in other nations promoting environmental "justice" (check out Rosia, Montana, Romania1); what is now referred to as Social Emotional Learning, Critical Race Theory, and the LGBTQ agenda; abortion (women's rights); and media propaganda.2
Our starting point: 1989. Publishing a paper in Los Angeles County, digging into the deposing of Nicholae Ceauçescu, I came across news stories originating from Romania about a man named George Soros. Having no reference point for the individual, it was interesting to note that the local press had identified him as a Romanian arms dealer who supplied the revolution that succeeded in removing Ceauçescu from office, where he and his wife stood before a firing squad in December of that year.
The memory of this came forward (long after the morgue of my publications had met its demise through multiple moves) when researching funders behind fast-rising democrat "star," Barack Obama, in 2007. It was perplexing that mainstream and cable news outlets at the time didn't mention the widely spread tentacles of this Soros, who only seemed to be known for "breaking" the Bank of England.
That was enough for my legal researcher, Toddy Littman, and I to delve deeper into Soros' philanthropic efforts that mainly targeted Eastern European nations that were struggling to rebuild after the collapse of the Iron Curtain. It turned out that we weren't the only ones digging through Soros' past, troublingly dirty as it appeared to be. What was most disturbing was how this cagey individual managed to re-invent himself whenever reports came close to revealing truth.
Starting with the investment groups such as the Quantum Fund and Soros Fund Management (holding major shares in mining/oil firms, and other enterprises) he had been very active in promoting progressive "educational" programs (listed above) through former Soviet satellites and meddling in policy building among African, South American and Asian countries under the auspices of the Open Society Institute. (Note that hedge funds like Quantum operated outside governmental scope until regulatory changes in 2010.)
Arrive 2008. Before the presidential election we pulled together the research into a fact-based novel. The book vehicle was chosen to, supposedly, protect me from being black-balled by the universities where I was teaching and it required changing the names of the Obama and Soros characters as well as the organizations Soros was instrumental in founding, such as Open Society Institute (since renamed and reconfigured), MoveOn.org and Media Matters.
Because background information on Soros didn't agree, it was evident that what he had said, written and released about himself over the decades was capricious, to say the least. The story that unfolded in "Gold Baron" took all the waffling information into account as it tied together connections between Soros and Obama that journalists evaded because the news industry had already been corrupted by socialist "anti-socialists" like Soros himself.
The infonovelwas released before the 2008 election in hopes of assisting voters to reach a degree of understanding how much influence Soros had accumulated worldwide. He had spent decades undermining governments of poorer nations (approximately 50 by then) through educational and environmental policies promoted by a vast network of philanthropic organizations, readying to make massive progressive inroads in the United States. Much of our compiled findings were shared in a series of press releases sent to a national news list including Fox News contributors, which, my proofer for this column just informed me, Fox Nation is apparently now airing a report covering some of what we released 14 years ago. Question is, what took so long?
The media mostly ignored the premise of the infonovel, how Soros had twisted the open society philosophy of Karl Popper, his supposed mentor at the London School of Economics, hanging onto a theory that Popper himself had discarded. Using peoples' tendency to follow trends in a herd-like fashion, Soros amalgamated his own theory of manipulation that he dubbed "reflexivity." The fear-based response to the Covid-19 ‘crisis' has been a functioning model of Soros' philosophy that has worked wonders.

If over a dozen years later we look back on what we diligently tried to warn America and the world regarding George Soros and his ambitions, it should be no surprise the adage may fit that we "told you so." The problem is there are still volumes of suspect information circulating by design about George Soros whose statements, going back to 2003 and earlier, teeter toward anti-semitism and are anti-Israel, though he claims Jewish heritage.
Although "Gold Baron" doesn't have all the answers, it postulates enough that should be seriously considered for veracity as Soros pours another $125 Million into democrat, anti-law enforcement, pro-anarchy candidates. He has clearly stated his determination to dismantle America as it now exists and dissolve the inspiration America has provided for free societies.
If there ever was a time to earnestly uncover the true facts about George Soros' history, ambitions and legacy, that time is now before this convicted felon (France) is successful in furthering the havoc he's fathered in the one bastion of liberty ever known to the world – the United States of America.
Better late than never.
