Edmonton, Red Deer and Lloydminster Stops on the National Debt Clock Tour

RED DEER, AB: A small adjustment to the original tour schedule means the Canadian Taxpayers Federation's (CTF) National Debt Clock will be in Red Deer this morning, in Edmonton this afternoon and in Lloydminster on Thursday. The Clock was originally scheduled to be in Edmonton on Thursday and Lloydminster on Friday.

New Schedule: Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011 - Morning - Red Deer Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011 - Afternoon - Edmonton Thursday, March 3rd, 2011 - Lloydminster In Red Deer, Alberta Director, Scott Hennig will be driving the clock near Red Deer City Hall at 9am. Due to the flexibility of the Edmonton stop, media can feel free to book a time to view the debt clock with Alberta director, Scott Hennig. The clock should arrive in Edmonton around 1pm. The clock shows in real time the growth of the federal government's debt. Out of its trailer it is 12 feet long, 5.5 feet high and weighs over 300lbs. However, the clock can be viewed inside its trailer, thanks to custom built windows along the side of the trailer. Pictures and information on the debt clock can be found at www.debtclocktour.ca. The tour started on February 22nd in Victoria, BC and will wrap up near the end of March in Halifax, NS.
