"All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States." At no place in the Constitution was the President or his executive branch granted any legislative powers. DACA was put into action by the Obama administration in June 2012, like it was a piece of legislation, but without the President having the legal authority to do so. DACA allows certain illegal immigrants who entered the country as minors to receive a renewable two-year period of deferred action from deportation and eligibility for a work permit. In short, it's amnesty for kids, which extends amnesty to all of their relatives, because "we don't want to split up families."I have family living in the United States much further away than Mexico, and we are not "split up." Besides, a great way not to split up a family is to send them all back home together. "But the child knows nothing about Mexico" is the response. Then, I guess, the family will be quick about going through the legal process to come back, right?
