2012:

End of the World, Hollywood Left

Hollywood is falling all over itself rushing to both the big and the small screen depictions of what the end of the world will look like on 2012. The reason for this is a forecast based primarily on what is claimed to be the end-date of the Mayan Long Count calendar, which is presented as lasting 5,125 years and as terminating on December 21 or 23, 2012. As is typical of the Hollywood left, the hysteria is based on fantasy rather than reality, but while they’re at it why not join in?

In some respects the end of 2012 could be viewed as the end of the world, especially by the Hollywood left. The off-term election of conservatives into what were considered safe liberal seats could be a portent of things to come. The independents, disgusted by the lies and hypocrisy of the Rove-driven Bush machine threw out a good number of the Rhino Republicans and replaced them with Obama liberals. Unfortunately many good conservatives were tossed along with the trash. To the independent’s chagrin, change for changes sake has not been enough. The Obamaites have revealed that they not only wanted to change the ways the Bushies did things but that they also want to convert the US into something it was never meant to be, and never will be. Continuing the denials that this election reveals any trend, the Obama administration, along with its supporting cast of news networks is spinning a web of lies to cover up the fact that Obama invested an incredible amount of time, effort and money to prevent what just occurred. There is a trend and they are terrified. Imagine what the current liberal leadership will think when they lose not only the White House but both houses of congress as well. Imagine their emotions when they watch, helpless in enforced retirement as the newly elected conservative president and her congress set about restoring every freedom Obama took away from the American people. Imagine their impotent rage as they see small business reenergized and inheritances saved for the next generation. Imagine the first Amendment supporting the freedom of religion rather than fighting it.

To the liberal, allowing the opposition to have the same rights as them is unfair

No, for people like Al Gore and Michael Moore, 2012 will be the beginning of the apocalypse. Imagine a revitalized Washington interpreting the Constitution the way the founders meant it to be. Jesse Jackson would have to get a real job. Al Sharpton would run out of pomade. New Jersey is going to be an object lesson in the next two years. It used to be that New Jersey was one of the most prosperous states in the union. Taxes were the lowest and the standard of living the highest. The state had the unique dilemma each year of having to deal with a surplus rather than a deficit. It is interesting to note that the liberals do not mention this historical fact, nor will they discuss it comfortably. 2012 could indeed be the beginning of the end of the world and the liberals are scrambling to prevent disaster. Harry Reid, once the king of the filibuster when he was in the minority, now wants new rules to make it harder to do what he once did. To the liberal, allowing the opposition to have the same rights as them is unfair. When 2012 comes along and all those independents choose to support a reenergized GOP now staffed with real conservatives, the liberals will indeed think the world has come to an end.
