ESPN Still Doesn’t Believe That Men Are Not Women

I pray that in the not-too-distant future, we can all look back on this period of insanity and shake our heads in absolute disgust and disbelief that something so disturbing was allowed to permeate our society.

Many things about life can be questioned, but whether you’re a man or a woman is not one of them. Does anyone else feel like we are living in the Twilight Zone when it takes an executive order by the President of the United States to protect women’s sports from male participation?

“No Men in Women’s Sports”

I realize that there are far too many moronic ideas out there, but the fact that anyone needs to have this explained to them is mind-blowing. Yesterday, on National Girls & Women in Sports Day, Trump, surrounded by female athletes, signed the “No Men in Women’s Sports” order in the East Room of the White House.

At the signing, Trump stated that he had been “waiting a long time for this,” adding:

“It was so ridiculous, but here we are. And this doesn’t have to be long; it’s just all about common sense. Women’s sports will be only for women. The war on women’s sports is over.”

“I’ll sign a historic executive order to ban men from competing in women’s sports. It’s about time.”

“The actions we’re taking today are the latest in a sweeping effort to reclaim our culture and our laws from the radical left crusade against biological reality. We’re defending the rights and safety and pride of the American people, including our great, great, great female athletes.”

Earlier in the day, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated:

“This common-sense action from President Trump ends the disgusting betrayal of women and girls by the previous administration, who for years catered to radical activists who wanted biological males to be treated as women in workplaces, showers, competitive sports, prisons, and even rape shelters. Gender ideology insanity is over.”

“He does expect the Olympic committee and the NCAA to no longer allow men to compete in women’s sports.”

At ESPN, the radical leftists reacted as you would expect

“I think the president, with the signing of his pen, starts a very public pressure campaign on these organizations to do the right thing for women and for girls. Again, this is an incredibly popular position. There have been many notable female athletes who have had the courage to speak out against some very powerful institutions in this country. They deserve to have a voice and a say. The president is bringing their voice to the highest level of the White House. He expects these organizations to comply with this federal executive order he will be signing today.”

Sadly, common sense in today’s world is not so common. Even more depressing is that far too many people that lack it are in positions of power. At ESPN, the radical leftists reacted as you would expect. Posting Trump’s new directive:

“Marks another aggressive shift by the Republican president’s second administration in the way the federal government deals with transgender people and their rights.”

The Disney-owned sports DEI propaganda machine tried to downplay the danger of physically superior males competing against female athletes by saying:

“In many cases, the states introducing a ban on transgender athletes could not cite instances when their participation was an issue, and “the actual number of transgender athletes seems to be almost immaterial.”

It’s obvious that ESPN is still bowing at woke Disney’s feet, which is why I stopped watching them TOTALLY at least fifteen years ago. They dug their hole a little deeper by posting this gem of idiocy on X.

“President Donald Trump will sign an executive order Wednesday designed to prevent people who were biologically assigned male at birth from participating in women's or girls' sporting events.”

However, the posted responses to ESPN’s inability to accept the truth were classic.

Dana Loesch posted my favorite:

"Biologically assigned male?" they were born with schlongs. They're dudes. It's not a homework assignment. This is the language of walking mental abortions.”

Federalist Editor-in-Chief Mollie Hemingway chimed in on X:

“Being male or female is not a function of being ‘assigned’ something at birth, you idiots. Your propaganda terms are dangerous.”

Former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines, a front-line warrior for fairness in women’s sports, also derided the left-wing sports outlet, pointing out that the phrase “people who were biologically assigned male at birth is the most inefficient way to say ‘men.’”

Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon posted:

“They’re called ‘men’ and ‘boys. Trump will get this right in his order, and that’s why we elected him, by the way.”

Meanwhile, the NCAA President Charlie Baker issued this statement following the president’s executive order signing.

The NCAA appears ready to protect the sanctity of women’s sports

“The NCAA is an organization made up of 1,100 colleges and universities in all 50 states that collectively enrol more than 530,000 student-athletes. We strongly believe that clear, consistent, and uniform eligibility standards would best serve today’s student athletes instead of a patchwork of conflicting state laws and court decisions. To that end, President Trump’s order provides a clear, national standard.”

“The NCAA Board of Governors is reviewing the executive order and will take necessary steps to align NCAA policy in the coming days, subject to further guidance from the administration.”

“The Association will continue to help foster welcoming environments on campuses for all student-athletes. We stand ready to assist schools as they look for ways to support any student-athletes affected by changes in the policy.”

The NCAA appears ready to protect the sanctity of women’s sports. Hopefully the Senate will pass the “Protection of Women and Girls Sports Act,” which the House passed last month. That bill would ban biological males from participating in girls' school sports teams and amend federal law to specify that student-athletes must participate in school sports teams that coincide with their gender at birth.
