"We will be very busy in 2011. We will arrest more than ever!"

Exclusive: 1 On 1 With Sheriff Joe Arpaio

That is what Sheriff Joe Arpaio told me recently as he bristled at the growing number of pending investigations and lawsuits brought against him by the U.S. government and various open border groups accusing Arpaio of civil rights violations, abuse of power and racial profiling.
"I've become their poster boy", he said in referring to the Obama administration, "but I will not stop". As fears of Mexico's drug war spilling onto the U.S. side of the border continue to grow and as a newly elected U.S. Congress returns to Washington, I asked him to name his number one concern in 2011 when it comes to the issue of border security and illegal immigration. "It's going to be a low priority. With all the focus understandably on the economy I'm not too optimistic that anything much gets accomplished until perhaps next election cycle". You can listen to my entire 1 on 1 interview with Sheriff Joe Arpaio HERE.
