On 19 Jul 10, this Investigator received a report of Mountain Lion footprints, found in the LOESS HILLS in Southwest Iowa, between Council Bluffs, Iowa /Omaha, , Ne, and Glenwood, Iowa area of the LOESS HILLS. A cursory review of footprints, initially indicates the tracks close to human dwellings, is from a Mountain Lion.

Any articles or Reports of Sightings, please post or forward to DogPressOrg@aol.com or Post to the groups.Additionally, it is reported that Nebraska, bordering Iowa, has given farmers permission to shoot Mountain Lions, which were allegedly introduced to cut down deer population, but that is not working. On 2 Aug 10, at 12:00a.m., this Lead Investigative Reporter was an eyewitness to the confirmation of a 6-8 feet long MOUNTAIN LION, ash (gray) in color, in Mills County, Iowa. At midnight this Investigative Reporter observed the Mountain Lion by a rural trash dumpster located at 53993 Dill Lane, Glenwood, Iowa in rural Mills County. There also is a small horse fielded next to this location. When the vehicle headlights came upon the Mountain Lion it immediately dashed across the dirt road in front of the vehicle no farther than 25 feet ahead in the headlights field of view. There is no question this is a mountain lion. The photo above is exactly as the Mountain Lion was observed and is attached at the link below on the article. This story was first reported on CanadaFreePress.com/ under pets category on 19 July 2010, and now is being updated here to the sighting confirmation. Mountain Lion in Mills County, Iowa Photo ID
