Fed-Up Citizens Who Lethally Lash Out At Noisemakers

One of many 'anti-safety' trends I follow are fed-up citizens who lethally lash out at noisemakers. Enablers in office encourage this through lack of corrective action by local police and code enforcement. It's a sure sign that respect for boundaries has been abandoned. I know this culture war battle-front first-hand as someone in a city often refusing to enforce its own noise ordinance. It caters to rampant ear-splitting music and loud loiterers.

Here are some troubling cases which caught my attention:

Allowing noisemakers to split eardrums and literally shake homes with digitally enhanced noise isn't just aggravating. It's infuriating. So much so that otherwise reasonable residents act unreasonably. Political pressure and embarrassing publicity must be exerted upon enabling politicians and police executives.

I fought loud loiterers and trespassers from a ghetto bar last year at my old place. Along with direct action, I kept a steady stream of 911 phone calls, photos and videos emailed to the media, area police district commander and my city council member.

I understand how fed-up citizens may lethally lash out at noisemakers. I also understand every effort must be made to re-establish peace and quiet as an unbroken norm. We can't allow politically enabled ignorant behavior to make sensible people miserable. Nor make life-changing mistakes committed out of frustration.
