Follow The “Yellow Cracked Road” To Incompetence

Let's face facts: California is one of the epicenters of chaos. Within that pit of degradation, other epicenters of corruption exist. One of those black holes in reality is Los Angeles, where irrational thought and stupidity breed faster than rabbits.

The current mayor is Karen Bass, whose reputation as a self-serving, do-nothing liberal is well known. Her handling of last year's January wildfires is still under scrutiny. Bass is running for reelection, but unfortunately, her opponent, Nithya Raman, is just as incompetent and identifies as a member of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).

It’s Ironic that when asked to describe what a socialist is, DSA members can't or won't tell the truth, and Raman is no exception. When she was asked point-blank in an interview last month by CNN’s Elex Michaelson what the difference was between a Democrat and a “democratic socialist,” she gave the idiotic answer that socialists care more about renters.

Really?

That’s interesting because the truth is that members of the DSA want the exact opposite. They want to control and suppress. Even Zohran Mamdani said that their long-term goal is about "seizing the means of production."

In Raman’s case, she has served as a Los Angeles City Council member for the 4th district since 2020 but has no real accomplishments. That said, she does seem to have an affinity for crosswalks. That isn’t a bad thing if a neighborhood needs one to be repaired, but it’s Raman’s braggadocious attitude that is so off-putting.

Last October, she celebrated the opening of a signalized crosswalk improvement project at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and Harvard Boulevard, complete with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Were the improvements needed? Yes, but the celebration was extreme, to say the least. 

The project included new curb ramps, improved existing curb ramps, and sidewalk repairs. The upgrades do enhance safety and accessibility at the Franklin/Harvard DASH bus stop, but this was not a large transformational project.

On Wednesday, Raman was at it again, but this time she was lambasted on social media for the absurdity of her gushing rhetoric over essentially accomplishing nothing.

She posted on X:

“The Los Feliz Neighborhood Council alerted our office in late 2025 to the need for a crosswalk at Sunset Dr. and Bates St., which has just been completed! Thank you to our incredible CD4 Field Team for continuing to problem-solve, push for solutions, and make our streets safer.”

However, it was the picture that she included with her post that demonstrates the inflated reality of her “accomplishment”

As you can see, all that was done at this location was to paint seven stripes over a badly cracked street. Not only is what was done totally insignificant, but Raman admits in her post that she was notified late last year, so it took at least nine months for her to accomplish this zero.

Some of the posts on X are hilarious. Former Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt criticized the post on X, stating:

“Holy #, my sides...Nithya Raman's big accomplishment is taking 9 months to paint 7 yellow stripes over a cracked street? How dumb do you have to be to post this? BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA”

Fox News congressional correspondent Bill Melugin humorously stated on X that he had to "double-check to ensure this was real."

“Yes, the socialist candidate for LA mayor and current member of the LA city council is taking a victory lap for painting a crosswalk over a decrepit road full of cracks.”

This is the state of affairs for voters in Los Angeles. Once again, they have saddled themselves with two Democrats to choose from. Bass, who accomplishes nothing, and Raman, who equates painting stripes on a badly cracked street to curing cancer.

At least with the stripes, voters can more easily follow the “Yellow Cracked Road” To Incompetence. It’s fitting since neither candidate has demonstrated brains or heart, and it was the voters' lack of courage to change their circumstances that continues to cause them to remain in liberal desolation.
