For many years people around the world have marveled at how the United States has been so innovative and creative using good old fashioned common sense to solve knotty problems and find solutions to overcome bureaucratic hurdles.
In essence, it has greatly helped this country become number one in just about any phase of life, or commerce. We truly were the greatest country in the world.
But in recent years, many foreign countries have used our very own mantras of excellence and brilliance to outsmart us. One of those situations is the 'citizenship by birth' solution to gain something that would otherwise be very unattainable, or at the very least, very difficult.
It all starts with a provision of our United States Constitution, the Fourteenth Amendment, enacted after the Civil War to grant citizenship to descendants of slaves.

More Foreign Mothers Live Abroad to Give Birth on U.S. Soil, Debate Over 14th Amendment" in which it is stated that a new tourism industry is being created where of the "millions of foreign tourists who visit the United States each year, a growing number return home with a brand new U.S. citizen in tow. "
To me, this is just more legalized theft, perpetrated with the permission and yes, even encouragement, of our anti-American Executive Branch of government and featuring Mr. Obama, State Secretary Hillary Clinton, AG Eric Holder and our Homeland Security Chief, Janet Napolitano. With four pro-terrorist, anti-Americans like that how is the country to survive?
Devin Dwyer's story continues by quoting National Center for Health Statistics most recent data, "The number of
U.S. births to non-resident mothers rose 53 percent between 2000 and 2006. Total births rose 5 percent in the same period."
Dwyer explains that some of the perks for people who choose the take advantage of the many expensive tourist packages set up within this lucrative new industry are: "it's a small price to give a child the full benefits of
U.S. citizenship, including the ability to travel freely to and from the United States, easy access to a U.S. education and a chance to start a life here."
Also given great consideration as a bonus reward is the privilege to in later years, when these U.S. citizen children become adults, they may bring the rest of their family permanently to this country.
This insanity should be stopped immediately. What was made into law to protect the children and families of slaves of the nineteenth century and provide our country's good will and blessings on those who were so unfortunate to be part of that un-American way of life, should not be stretched, legally or illegally into an avenue of permission to steal from the current legal citizens of America, now or forever.
Dwyer continues his story by stating that "Lino Graglia of the University of Texas law school wrote in the Jan. 11 Texas Review of Law & Politics that the authors of the 14th Amendment never would have imagined their words bestowing citizenship to illegal or visiting immigrants.
"It is difficult to imagine a more irrational and self-defeating legal system than one which makes unauthorized entry into this country a criminal offense and simultaneously provides perhaps the greatest possible inducement to illegal entry," Graglia wrote of birthright citizenship.
Sounds very much like I have said in past columns in the Canada Free Press international news service, it is hypocritical of candidates for public office as well as those who are posturing for public acclaim to state that they want to cut spending, reduce taxes and create jobs and then also state that they are for giving all illegal aliens a free and rapid pass to citizenship and all of its benefits.
That is out-and-out SOCIALISM, an action loved and endorsed by communists and our ruling liberal elite class of governing officials at all elected levels. It will take your wealth in the form of MUCH higher taxation and redistribute it to criminals who have broken our laws by gaining illegal entry into our country and now wish to be rewarded with the perks and privileges of citizenship.
And the worst part is that there are some people and a few organizations who call themselves conservatives who agree with it.

Gerald A. “Jerry” McConnell, 92, of Hampton, died Sunday, February 19, 2017, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, Mass., surrounded by his loved ones. He was born May 27, 1924 in Altoona, Pa., the fifth son of the late John E. and Grace (Fletcher) McConnell.
Jerry served ten years with the US Marine Corps and participated in the landing against Japanese Army on Guadalcanal and another ten years with the US Air Force. After moving to Hampton in 1957 he started his community activities serving in many capacities.
He shared 72 years of marriage with his wife Betty P. (Hamilton) McConnell. In addition to his wife, family members include nieces and nephews.
