Fox News Continues to Crush the Competition

The November ratings are in and once again Fox News is at the top by a wide margin in both younger viewers and total audience
In the highly coveted A25-54 demo, Fox had nine of the top 10 shows and 13 of the top 20. By comparison, MSNBC had one show in the top ten — Rachel Maddow, in ninth place — and just five in the top 20. Fox was even more dominant in the overall audience ratings with the top 13 shows. Following Fox was MSNBC, which captured the next five slots, with CNN garnering the last two in the top 20. Bill O’Reilly showed just how popular he really is by not only remaining number one with both younger viewers and total audience, but with the nightly repeat of his show finishing 5th in the A25-54 demo.

The only CNN show to crack the top 20 was Anderson Cooper’s AC360, with the 10 p.m. repeat of his show finishing 15th and the original airing coming in 19th. While MSNBC trailed Fox News with just five shows in the top 20 in both categories, the clear loser last month was CNN, with just the two airings of AC360 making the top 20. It looks like CNN’s brief flirtation with second place is over and that they still have a lot of work to do if they want to reclaim even a small sliver of their former glory. See the ratings here.
