I will admit this up front: I know about as much about country music as most people know about metallurgy, so I barely know who Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood are. But today, they are my new heroes. From the Country Music Awards:
Granted, it's not quite the shock factor you'd get if you were to see this on, say, the Grammys. But that's not taking away my enjoyment even a little bit, and I'm sure you can say the same.
Even though the country music industry is relatively friendly to the conservative point of view, it's welcome nonetheless to see liberalism being lampooned with such relish, and richly deserved. The whole conceit of ObamaCare is that big government can do big, great things that the free market can't because greatness requires the brilliance of the "best and brightest" given command/control authority. When their conceit is exposed as an utterly delusional fraud, the ensuing mockery is both richly deserved and highly productive in the service of a free and prosperous nation.
Brad and Carrie, whoever you are, nicely done.
