German Priest Cancelled After LGBT Criticism

The priest, known from radio and television, is no longer scheduled to celebrate Sunday Masses at the parish of St. Mary Magdalene Hünfelder Land following his criticism of the Diocese of Fulda’s LGBT policy. The Catholic weekly newspaper “The Day mail” reported this on Wednesday.

Abel is already retired but continues to work in pastoral care. Matthias Reger, press spokesman for the Diocese of Fulda, told the Tagespost newspaper that they currently have “no knowledge” of “any personnel-related measures” and do not wish to comment on speculation. -- More...
