During the last decade or two, we on the North American Continent have allowed the politicians and politically correct crowd (now the woke people) bully us into accepting things that are scientifically or historically untrue. It is time for a little review of the education we received in grammar school (mine about 70 years ago). Much of the woke society is trying to change long settled science and history, and have completely lost touch with reality. Academia has been distorting reality for our children for decades and some of these distortions have spread to many, otherwise intelligent adults.
Scientific fact: The human race has two and only two biological sexes. If you are confused, drop your pants to check. If you see a penis, you are male, aka a man. If you see a vagina, you are female, aka a woman. Those are the only proven scientific options, period.
If you choose to call yourself something else or you have chosen to modify yourself, just remember what organ was in your pants originally. I and most people don’t care. If you are of age, you can call yourself anything you want. That is a very personal decision. However, don’t think you can bully others into your fantasy world. I know I won’t come! I will be using the traditional male and female pronouns, so get over it and get a firm grip on reality. Also, please remember, most people have no interest whatsoever in what you do as a consenting adult in your bedroom. Furthermore, there is no need for you to share your sexual choices with the world. If you have an overwhelming need to share your sexual choices, take it up with your mental health professional. Very few people in the rest of the world care.
The bizarre choice the U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s woke 2021 House of Representative fantasy world rules about the pronouns that are to be used “officially” has demonstrated the bullies extend to the US Congress. Doing away gender specific terms including, mother, father, son, and daughter, is crazy. What next? Are they going to ban Mother’s and Father’s Day?
Scientific fact: Human beings (homo sapiens) are one race. Some human beings are whitish, some human beings are blackish, and some human beings are brownish. Racists, and racists alone, try to make a big deal out of our skin shades. That is simply racism, plain and simple. These racists need to get a firm grip on reality.
We are all simply Americans. We are not hyphenated Americans. To illustrate my point, African-American is a false moniker, unless maybe, if a person was actually born in Africa. To further illustrate this, I am an Irish, Scottish, English, Polish, German, Cherokee – American (I probably missed something). Kind of ridiculous, isn’t it? Virtually every American is of mixed blood consisting of several ethnic backgrounds. Who cares? If we all tried to identify ourselves based on our multi ethnic background, it would take a long time to reel off our complete ethnicity plus add American. That concept is stupid. These are strategies used by racists and politicians to pit us against each other. It’s time for the rest of us get a firm grip on reality. Don’t allow the politicians and racists to use skin tones as a weapon against each other. This foolishness has got to stop!
Historic fact: For tens of thousands of years, marriage has always been a union between a man and a woman, most often for the purpose of procreation. The concept has been accepted by all religions and most cultures worldwide. Any other purpose is simply hijacking a settled historic definition.
If two adults of the same sex wish to form a “marriage” like relationship, they should be allowed to do so. Hijacking the historic term marriage denigrates traditional marriage between a man and a woman and the traditional nuclear family. So let’s get a grip on reality and come up with a different identification of these other relationships. The term I would recommend is “parriage.” It would be a no brainer to enact a law that would give parriage the same status as marriage in the legal system. Problem solved, and we deny the politicians and bullies another weapon to use to divide us against each other.
Of course there is a down side to all of the above solutions, it would eliminate major wedge issues certain politician have used for decades to cause a divide between traditional heterosexual citizens and the citizens of the homosexual community, the various ethnic communities, and the sexual orientation community. What a shame that would be, if those weapons were denied.
So people, if we work diligently, we can further reduce the various divisional issues the racists, politicians, and other bullies have used as a weapon to divide us. I think we are wise enough to make it happen. It is simply a matter of getting a firm grip on reality and to back away from the bullying of a very small minority of screaming voices.
