Over the weekend, the last remaining pieces of progressive narratives regarding tolerance and democracy exploded. Only a couple of days after the UK voted to free itself from the shackles of it overlords in Brussels, Fox News reported that 2 million Remainers ostensibly signed an online petition calling for another vote --and left-wing Labour party MP David Lammy said Parliament should overturn the result. This is the true face of progressive ideology: voting and democracy only count when the "right" result is reached.

And progressive bankruptcy gets even more obvious when it is aided and abetted by an utterly corrupt media on both sides of the Atlantic. Or perhaps secession is the answer. Scotland, Northern Ireland and London think so because, after all, the majority of people in those areas voted Remain and while the UK's secession from the EU is bad, their secession from Britain is good--all the hypocrisy in the world notwithstanding And if none of this works, the masses must be punished. Thus, Xavier Bertrand, head of the Hauts-de-France region that includes the Calais "refugee" camp with a population of 5,000, insists France must renounce the 2003 Le Touquet Treaty authorizing British border controls on French soil and send those refugees to the UK. Investment banks who donated heavily to the Remain campaign will move operations elsewhere. Stock markets will continue to swoon, not because this is actually cataclysmic, but because those same elites want to make sure other nations know there is a heavy price to be paid for challenging the "end of history" and the New World Order. That's the New World Order where nation states and peoples' ability to shape their own destiny give way to a cabal of arrogant, condescending globalists for whom everything--even human beings--are nothing more than commodities. Commodities who must kowtow to the whims of their self-aggrandizing "betters" who have thoroughly convinced themselves they own the franchise on enlightened thinking.

"Parliamentary authorities have moved swiftly to remove around 77,000 allegedly fake signatures from an online petition which calls for a re-run of the Brexit referendum," counters The Telegraph. Breitbart News further reveals a "script" or "bot" might be generating fake signatures. They also provide details on just how fraudulent the effort has become. "As of Sunday afternoon, around 41,118 signatories have come from Vatican City, [total VC population: 800] 11,717 from the United States, and curiously, 24,855 from North Korea," they report. "At least 19,000 signatures have come from France, and 2,735 from British Antarctic Territory, which has a population of just 250 people." The petition is all about triggering a Parliamentary debate that requires only100,000 signatures. A debate about what? "We the undersigned call upon HM Government to implement a rule that if the 'remain' or 'leave' vote is less than 60% based on a turnout of less than 75% there should be another referendum." In other words those who purport to support the will of the people want a "Mulligan," as in a law written and enforced ex post facto. That's not democracy. That's totalitarianism, and a globalist totalitarian state is the left's endgame.
