Good Samaritan in New Orleans Murdered By Street Pirates

I don't call car jackers, car thieves and those who burgle parked vehicles "street pirates" out of hyperbole.

Their roadside ruthlessness has well earned them this title, along with other ones which regrettably aren't G Rated, as sadly Illustrated by recent tragedies like this:

Link: Man confronting car burglars dies after being shot at, run over by their car in Marigny

This happened yesterday, so it's a developing story.

What isn't developing is X post I made minutes ago sharing an old policy recommendation posed to address these situations:

"THIS is why stopping a car theft or break-in should be included in justified homicide laws. Street pirates are anxious to use deadly force & should be met by the same."

Had deadly force been legal to stop car break-ins, perhaps this good Samaritan in New Orleans wouldn't have been murdered by bad people.

Hope springs eternal.
