Rep. Dan Bishop (R-NC) became the first Republican to publicly support the removal of Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) as speaker of the House over the debt ceiling deal he made with Democrat President Joe Biden.

At a House Freedom Caucus press conference on Tuesday, Bishop said he would support a motion to oust McCarthy over the bill. ---More...
