Harry Reid may not be going to the trash dumpster where he belongs, but he'll be relegated to the role of Senate Minority Leader come January. With pickups tonight in Iowa, Montana, Arkansas, West Virginia, Colorado, North Carolina and South Dakota - as well as holding their own seats - the Republican Party has taken control of the U.S. Senate Majority.
Some of what this means:
Bills that pass the House will actually get committee hearings, floor debates and votes in the Senate. No more letting Reid bottle them up.
We should actually get the Congress passing a real budget.
Real accountability for Obama's power abuses.
No extreme liberal judges getting confirmed for the federal courts.
And so much more! But best of all, the despicable Harry Reid loses his power. It is a very, very, very good night.
