Ground Zero?  Nothing Historic There

The useful idiots of the Landmarks Preservation Commission voted 9-0, a unanimity SCOTUS can't muster, to deny Ground Zero historic status. Some may recall, Ground Zero is the site at which 3000 innocents were slaughtered in the name of Islamic Jihad. Bits and pieces of the victims remain buried, never to be recovered.

Muslim extremists are now taking the altogether customary step of building a monument to jihad at the site of their conquest.  Those debilitated by Political Correctness--a Marxist construct, by the way--are devoted to forcing this blight upon us with great urgency.  Pamela Gellar points out that the St. Nicholas church was also destroyed in the attack but has yet to be rebuilt due to multitudinous obstructions concocted by the city.  The Monster Mosque, however, is being expedited, breaking all records for piercing red tape. The only Muslims who will be piqued if the Monument to Jihad is nixed would be the jihadis.  Rudy Giuliani got it right when he said that peaceful Muslims won't be offended.  That should be the least of our concerns.

So it not only is exactly the wrong place, right at ground zero, but it's a mosque supported by an imam who has a record of support for causes that were sympathetic with terrorism. Come on! We're gonna allow that at ground zero? This is a desecration.  Nobody would allow something like that at Pearl Harbor. Let's have some respect for who died there and why they died there. Let's not put this off on some kind of politically correct theory. I mean, they died there because of Islamic extremist terrorism. They are our enemy, we can say that, the world will not end when we say that. And the reality is, it will not and should not insult any decent Muslim because decent Muslims should be as opposed to Islamic extremism as you and I are. It sends a particularly bad message, particularly (because) of the background of the imam who is supporting this. This is an Imam who has supported radical causes, who has not been forthright in condemning Islamic (terrorism) and the worst instincts that that brings about.

The  same demented PC enabled the Soldier of Allah to shoot up Ft. Hood.  Muslim extremists have been pushing us around since 9/11.  By the way, where are the lawyers? The tort of intentional infliction of emotional distress requires four elements:

1. the defendant must act intentionally or recklessly;
2. the defendant's conduct must be extreme and outrageous; and
3. the conduct must be the cause
4. of severe emotional distress.

Juries have given out immense piles of other peoples’ money for a lot less. We Americans are the most open and tolerant people on the planet.  Normally, that's a good thing but it's quickly becoming our ruination.  If America puts up with this obscenity, I'm going to lose faith that we can restore our country.
