Southern Crescent Sports Foundation is building H.O.P.E. Park in Lovejoy, GA. When completed, they will have eight baseball/softball fields, including a Miracle League Field, 30,000 square foot all accessible playground, community garden and certified kitchen, a nature walk with ADA (Americans with Disabilities) exercise equipment, and youth work programs to teach soft jobs skills and help give children in this community hands-on, practical work experience and job placement.
H.O.P.E. Park will be centrally located to be easily reached by all of the counties in the Southern Crescent (Clayton, Henry, Fayette and Spalding counties).
We want to enable all children desiring to play team sports an opportunity to do so regardless of their abilities. H.O.P.E. Park will also create a community garden to benefit the park, food shelters and members of the local community. I’ll be the guest speaker at their Inaugural Gala on Saturday, September 6 at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel, 1900 Sullivan Road, Atlanta. Cocktails and the silent auction being at 6pm, with a full course dinner at 7pm. We would love to see you there! The dress code for men is coat and tie and cocktail or evening attire for women.
