Forget the socialists. They don't exist. Anyone who thinks we have socialists in our government is obviously nuts. On the other hand, Harry Reid (crackpot-Nev.) is raising real concerns about real issues involving real political ideologies. According to Reid, the United States Congress has a serious problem ..with anarchy.
Apparently, Republicans are derailing "the Energy Savings and Industrial Competitiveness Act" because they're hell-bent on forcing congressmen to endure life under the yoke of Obamacare. In Reid-land, this means that anti-government anarchists have taken control! Run for your lives!
Yesterday, Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) vowed to block votes on all amendments to the energy bill until he's been convinced that his amendment - which would deny Obamacare exemptions for congressional staffers - will also get a vote. Reid wants no part of that. Why... forcing Congress to abide by the laws facing the rest of the nation? That's ludicrous!
"We're diverted totally from what this bill is about," Reid ranted Thursday. "Why? Because the anarchists have taken over. They've taken over the House and now they've taken over the Senate."
Reid continued his rant, saying that "We're in a position here where people who don't believe in government - and that's what the Tea Party is all about - are winning, and that's a shame."
No one can say what caused Reid to strip his already feeble mental gears, but if he can explain the inherent anarchy in forcing Congressmen and their staffers to obey the President's signature law, I'm all ears.
In any case, here's hoping he's right. ...About the Tea Party winning, that is. The "anarchy" thing is just crazy.
