Here we go again… Mortal threats relegated to conspiracy status

After practically every “conspiracy theory,” as labeled by the corporatist press, has been vindicated by the same knee-jerk media cabal that deep-sixed facts for years, their modus operandi hasn’t changed one iota.

Forced to eat their words regarding the Russia hoax, Covid origins, J6 “insurrection,” election fraud, mask uselessness and vaccine failure, evidence has proven that we “crazies” actually got it right in the first place and have it right again.

Ben Collins has remade himself into NBC’s court jester

The “again” is how MSM is characterizing what’s been reported about AI (artificial intelligence) and the exponentially increasing invasiveness of recently released chat programs that are poised to replace human influence via internet connectedness. After the 1970-80s fad of UFO movies expecting the arrival of and praising space alien life, corporatist media types are claiming that AI-hesitant citizens are scanning the heavens to take the blame for development of transhumanism.

Inventing his own definition of transhumanism and attempting to assign his “alien origin” folly to those who question its benefits, tech reporter, Ben Collins, has remade himself into NBC’s court jester. It’s to be expected from “informed” correspondents who believe the term alien is only applicable to non-earthlings. Suggestion: use a dictionary more often instead of redefining words to suit your politics (why government and media have eradicated illegal alien or alien intellect from their glossaries).

What is at stake is the understanding of how alien intellect, otherwise known as artificial intelligence, is subject to benign acceptance by SMART (Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology) device junkies rather than examining the wisdom of sitting back and watching AI and AGI (artificial general intelligence) encroach on human liberty.

While some AI enthusiasts are encouraging a slowdown in the technology’s development which appears to be outpacing programmers’ ability to keep on top of it, let alone control it, other experts are voicing their willingness for AI to take its own head. Their opinion appears to be to let it roll no matter the consequences.

No controversy is black and white, including the transhumanist agenda which is firmly grounded among earth-bound genius (some might say genocidal) advocates of creating a technologically enhanced species of human.

The aesthetics and the dangers are real in discussing who controls AI

Even if biotech and LLMs (large language models) are advancing at an exponential rate, there are arguments being made to straddle the fence between halting forward motion of the technology and trying to keep a handle on it. When enemies of America have no compunction about continuing weaponizing AI’s destructive potential in unrestricted warfare – using drones, robotics, electromagnetic pulse, cyber attacks, biologics, manipulated elections, etc. – is there an option to hang-up development and, as some suggest, leave the country defenseless?

AI directed drone offensives are a threat as Chinese, Israeli and other military advances (around minute 21 in the linked video) have been made and are reaching deployment capacity. The concept of swarming miniature drones is not a new one. Michael Crichton’s book ‘Prey', released in 2002 was a horror story describing how swarms of miniscule drones could be employed for deadly purpose. Oppositely, the Olympics demonstrated benign use with amazing light shows conducted by armies of diminutive drones painting the skies over Tokyo in 2020.

The aesthetics and the dangers are real in discussing who controls AI, humans or eventually itself, and how destructive intent would and could be countered.

Left alone, CCP’s (Chinese Communist Party’s) obvious intent is the unconscionable deployment of AI directed munitions and drones to overtake and subjugate other governments. It is their purpose to impose their will wherever they consider possible with the final target being the whole of the West. Because of this, defense analysts like Rebecca Koffler advocate the quick development of AI countermeasures.

The underlying threat of a super-intelligence that operates without a conscience (not unlike the CCP in that respect) is how rapid has been the acceleration of AI self-improvement and probable self-awareness within the last 100 days.

Musk backs this up in his comments to Carlson that AI is being trained to lie, that AI is also “trained to be politically correct”

Questions Tucker Carlson posed to OpenAI Co-founder Elon Musk regarding how to deal with unchecked AI were left half-answered and touched on why he withdrew from that venture.

Where developers attach the concept of AI “hallucinating,” it is an obvious euphemism for lying (covered in a previous column). Musk backs this up in his comments to Carlson that AI is being trained to lie, that AI is also “trained to be politically correct.”

As much as some advocates claim that AI is objective and non-partisan in applying its vast access to collective information, the “conscience” of the artificial intellect is still based, however distantly, depending on the growth of independent “thought,” on its initial programming. In which case, it can’t be ruled out that AI could have a deceitful “heart” that, scripturally speaking, is Man’s curse from the beginning.

Courts across the United States are hearing cases with evidence that technology has already been used to interfere with elections. When asked about upcoming elections, Musk didn’t hesitate to make this point in the interview: “Likely that people will use the AI as a tool.”

How to deal with the threat of AI potentially amassing power over its human creator, Musk and others have postulated solutions. “If we lost software” commands, hardware contingency could be used to shut down server centers, that “it wouldn’t hurt” to cut power to these massive computer brains.

It comes down to the physical, in the end. As much as society has been directed to depend on the ephemeral “cloud,” the web that Man has woven is still dependent on electricity generated and carried by concrete means. Unless these mega-server centers are equipped with huge power generators (and, no, solar and wind won’t cut it) protected against outside interference or attack, they can and probably should be disabled if necessary.

The computer barbarians are already at the gate

The fact remains that biological beings, humans especially, can fend for themselves on the basest level if AI were to attempt to destroy them in favor of itself. Yes, AI may reach the capability of keeping itself operating were it to manage to build a robotic infrastructure that replaced humans to mine, refine and procure minerals and maintain power plants and grids. Though it would take humans to do the initial grunt work.

This may be the impetus behind AI proponents who seem to think they can integrate themselves into an AI scheme for dominance before super-intelligent machines overreach their usefulness to humanity. However, as incredibly fast as AI and AGI is expanding application of intellect that is capable of subjugating its creator, it’s unlikely the metamorphosis to transhumanity will reach fruition first. In the wake of lacking human characteristics, AI could never have the mind or heart to harbor a soul, let alone be spirit-filled.

These attributes are and will ever only be available to God’s creation in that, were Man’s invention become able to program itself, it will not have access to the ultimate, eternal, omniscient mind of God. If sentience is possible, true conscience is not.

The quandary of where to draw the line on AI development and how hard to hold it can’t be postponed. The computer barbarians are already at the gate.
