Just Hillaryous.

Hillary Gump says: 'Reporters are like a box of chocolates. Too many of 'em can kill you!'

Sherman, set the way back machine for 1995. The Gingrich revolution had just demolished the Democrats' control of Congress, HillaryCare was dead and buried, Whitewater was dogging the Clintons, and the Lewinsky scandal was still three years away. The year before, the movie Forrest Gump had dominated the box office and parodies of it were everywhere.

Including, it seems, in Washington. Behold "Hillary Gump." A short, allegedly comedic film created by Bill and Hillary for the 1995 Gridiron Club Dinner. It's been floating around the web for a few years but - now that Hillary needs some positive press - it's been going viral as an example of just what a sweet, self-deprecating, and enjoyable person she really is. "Cupid is as Cupid does?" Huuuurrrrp! This thing is almost half as funny as the average episode of "She's the Sheriff" or "Small Wonder!" If media types think this clip's "new life" will help with Hillary's current problems, they'd better have a plan B waiting. Most of it is excruciatingly unfunny, though I will admit chuckling at Bill Clinton stealing the chocolates and asking for fries to go with them. Also, Hillary's suggestion that we all "follow the money" is eerily prescient. While under her control, the State Department "misplaced" documents accounting for 6 billion dollars. At the same time, the Clinton Foundation received millions in eyebrow-raising donations from foreign governments, including at least one that directly violated Obama administration ethics agreements. So, yeah. Following the money is probably a good idea where Mrs. Clinton is concerned. It's nice of her to say it, so that Republicans can put it in their campaign ads once she announces her 2016 candidacy.
