Holder: Hey, we're still thinking about charging George Zimmerman

I wonder how long the Obama Administration intends to continue this tease before they admit there's not even a hint of a case to be made against George Zimmerman. Probably as long as they can, since it's hard to argue they're violating Zimmerman's constitutional rights by having an investigation - and they sure won't be concerned with the money they're spending on it.
But would they actually do it? No way. Obama's getting raked over the coals badly enough with the ObamaCare fiasco. The last thing he needs is to be humiliated letting his Justice Department pursue a hopeless civil rights case whose outcome anyone could have predicted from the start. What to do? If you were a serious presidential administration, you'd just say pass and move on. But if you're these guys:
Holder said the agency’s investigation is under way.

“I'm not sure exactly how much longer that will take, but we will get to a point where we are able to make a determination,” he told reporters at an unrelated news conference at the agency’s headquarters. Holder, during an April speech to Al Sharpton’s National Action Network, pledged to “take appropriate action” if the agency finds evidence of a potential federal civil rights crime in the Zimmerman case. However, he has since cautioned that the Justice Department faces a “very high barrier” in pursuing federal criminal charges in such cases. There's the key. You can't just come right out and say the matter's been concluded when you're depending on the likes of Al Sharpton to give voice to your political agenda. Especially now, when the ObamaCare disaster is costing you the support of independents, you can scarcely afford to disappoint the members of your liberal base who want George Zimmerman blood - regardless of the facts or the legal realities. So you take a classic Obama stance. You talk. Oh yeah, we just might do this! Sure you might. I can only imagine the laughter coming from Zimmerman's lawyers at the thought of getting to defend this case, even as they surely understand it will never happen.
