Hook, Line, and Sinker

Upon examination, who are the people who are supporting the socialist (aka communists) movement in America? For the most part, it is the disenfranchised college graduates holding hundreds of thousands of dollars of tuition debt, who can’t find a job that pays them what they think they deserve, and those who are already victims of the American welfare slavery system. I’ll deal with the welfare slaves first.

James Madison identified the problem when politicians use taxpayer money to buy votes

The United States government violated the 10th Amendment to the Constitution when it usurped charity from the people and the states. If we haven’t learned anything else since President Trump started his second term as our 47th President, we have learned how corrupt the government run charity programs have become. In the last 60 years, it is likely that trillions of American taxpayers' dollars have disappeared into the pockets of politicians and those government and non-government agencies “administering” welfare programs that are really government run charities. James Madison identified the problem when politicians use taxpayer money to buy votes. No matter what politicians say, that is the real purpose of government welfare. Worse yet, while mismanaging welfare programs, these activities detract from programs that are government duties. A sorry state of affairs.

After World War II, there was a big push to encourage young people to go to college for the best possible life. For the first 20 to 30 years after the war that was probably sound advice, because college was focused on skills that made graduating students employable. Then, in about the 1970s, the communists in the education system converted their toehold into a foothold and curricula started changing to programs that had no place in the real-world employment market. I mean, how many jobs are available for gender studies or cultural studies graduates outside academia?

Many of the younger people in America today have been sold a false bill of goods 

When you couple worthless college degrees with young people who were awarded “participation trophies” rather than learning that life is a competition, you have a population with unrealistic expectations. Then, of course, when the worthless degree was accompanied by brainwashing about America and capitalism being bad and socialism being good, what can be expected?

Many of the younger people in America today have been sold a false bill of goods and they bought it hook, line, and sinker. Now they are buying the false narrative of these communists representing themselves as socialists and the promises of things these charlatans can’t possibly deliver as Zohran Mamdani and his voters are finding out in New York City. The wheels are coming off the Mamdani wagon of socialism in a very visible way.

Being the optimist that I am, most Americans know the horrors of communism and are not fooled by the clown show, cutesy videos, and flimflam talking points being use in the campaigns by these socialist haters of America. Americans have rejected socialism as far back as 1622 when the Pilgrims found that the “warmth of collectivism” simply doesn’t work because of the inherent flaws of human nature. No one has ever been smart enough to make Marxism, socialism, or communism work; it always fails at the cost of tremendous untold amounts of human misery.

Having said that, it will be up to patriotic Democrats, patriotic Republicans, and patriotic Independents to beat back socialism again as the Pilgrims did in 1622, our great grandfathers did in the 1920s, our grandfathers did in the 1950s, and as we did in 2024. That is our job in 2026.
