Features a who's who of the Tea Party movement

Huge turnout for yesterday’s ‘Audit the IRS’ rally in DC

The Tea Party is dead. Its membership is dwindling, its influence is on the wane, and it's rapidly descending into irrelevance. That's the message from the left-wing talking heads, who are desperate to stick a fork in the Conservative movement.
They're wrong, of course, but don't waste your time arguing with them, because they'll never admit it. Instead, just bask in the warm glow of yesterday's 'Audit the IRS' rally in Washington DC. Official estimates say between 10 and 12 thousand Tea Party faithful showed up to protest the IRS - in terms of both the recent targeted auditing scandal, and the idea that the agency needs to be eliminated and replaced with a fair tax, flat tax, etc. Those are impressive numbers, particularly when you take into account the fact that this was a Wednesday afternoon in a non-election year.

Even left-leaning news outlets are admitting that the turnout was between 8 and 10 thousand, so you can bet the real number is substantially higher. The event was a huge success and, as always with Conservative rallies, it was neat, tidy and peaceful. First, here's coverage of the event from last night's Sean Hannity show, courtesy of Fox News.

Next up, we have a whole slew of speeches from the event. Let's start with Sen. Ted Cruz.

Here's Rep. Michelle Bachmann.

.....and Here's Senator Rand Paul.

Next up, we have Rep. Mike Kelly's barn burner.

Here's Rep. Louie Gohmert, in a hand-held video shot from the audience.

Finally, here's Glenn Beck's address. It's 36 minutes long, but it's absolutely worth the time. Check it out.

A quick note to the guy waving the "IRS swastika" sign during Rand Paul's speech: You're not doing yourself any favors, and a "hammer and sickle" would be more appropriate.
