I Have a QuestionLet’s assume you are having coffee with some of your favorite buddies down at the corner café. In the course of conversation one of your friends says, “America is the source of most of the world’s ills: political, economic, and environmental.” Whoa! What did he say? Yes, you heard it right, “America is the source of most of the world’s ills: political, economic, and environmental.” Surely not this America that freed Europe from the tyranny of Hitler, that has pulled poor nations out of poverty around the world on a regular basis, that has invented more items to make the world safer, cleaner and easier to live in than any other country in the History of the World.
You can’t be talking about the America that took on the surprise attack from Japan in World War II and reversed it into eventual victory and then rebuilt the nation of Japan into one of the leading manufacturers of electronics, cars and, yes, Kikkoman Soy Sauce! Without a doubt, you can’t be speaking of this America that put a man on the moon, has invented and developed breaking edge technologies in medicine, computers, even automobiles. This America that feeds a huge portion of the world! This America that has freed more people from poverty and oppression than any other country and provides more financial aid to poor countries than the civilized world. This America that we love, respect and hold up as the model for other countries seeking a free society for their people. Sadly, recent extensive polling shows that your friend is absolutely correct! The polling numbers are a clarion call that it is way past time to fight the liberal lie that has caused this to happen. For those of us that believe America is the greatest nation on Earth, and we want to keep it that way, we must all stand up against the insidious poison that is being fed to our children and impressionable people of all ages. The soldiers in this fight must be you. There is no one else. Republicans are generally viewed as being conservative and fight for family values. In actuality there are many problems within the ranks of the Republican Party. Key findings from the polling reveals that 89.5% of “liberal Republicans” AGREE that America is the source of most of the world’s ills: political, economic, and environmental. 63.7% of “moderate Republicans” also AGREE.

Those are not the kind of findings that should give any of us comfort. So what about younger people? The situation is even worse. 66.4% of 18-29 year olds AGREE that America is the source of most of the world’s ills: political, economic, and environmental. This age group, the so-called millennials, is the largest voting group in the country. One would assume that we have no problems with our great people in the US Military. Sorry, no good news there as 63.7% of active duty military AGREE America is the source of most of the world’s ills! Surely those that have made millions of dollars in our free market system and lived the kinds of lives they could afford would believe America is a great country. No, we lose those folks too. A staggering 84.7% of the wealthy AGREE that America is the source of most of the world’s ills: political, economic, and environmental. By now you are probably wondering who still believes in this great country. If you consider yourself a conservative Republican you have only 59.3% of “very” conservative people who DISAGREE that America is the source of most of the world’s ills: political, economic, and environmental. Of course the liberal left is unified in that 71.5% agree with the question. And why not, they have been spreading the liberal lie for years through our educators, media commentators, mass media news outlets, social media and person to person. As a result we have become so uptight over political correctness, tolerance of others and fear of offending someone that the country is nearly paralyzed when it comes to having meaningful discussions or debates over the issues that are important to us. As a result the liberal lie is alive and healthy.

Our elected officials in Congress have let us down in so many ways. Instead of America first it has become “me” first. Staying in office is more important than standing up for American ideals and principals. For heaven’s sake, don’t cast a vote or make an argument that might offend someone! Live the liberal lie, promise everyone everything. And yes, so-called conservative Republicans are playing this game. It’s all about re-election. So my friends, your buddy at the coffee shop was correct in saying that America is the source of most of the world’s ills: political, economic, and environmental. At least, in the eyes of a majority of the people in this country. From a political standpoint it is a dangerous situation for our electorate to hold these views. However, the game is not over. We may be in the fourth quarter and the clock is running down but you and I can make a difference. Talk to people, attend meetings and be a part of the discussion, write letters to the editor and take advantage of every opportunity to tell the truth. Counteract the liberal lie with the truth. It’s up to you and me to make the difference. The clock is running. Data referenced in this piece is from: National United in Purpose-Beliefs About America Presentation – 2-25-19 NewsMax Poll
