If Not for Double Standards

As one of the last Hollywood conservatives, Prelutsky has defined the modern Democrat Party, the Democratic Socialists of America, and everything else communists/socialists call themselves. The people in America pushing socialism/communism the hardest are people often referred to as limousine socialists or champagne socialists.

Like every socialist effort in history, the rich socialists never suffer from the poverty they foist off on the majority of a country’s population. The mantra of these limousine/champaign socialists is “socialism for thee but not for me.” If you question this position, just ask anyone who has lived under communism in Russia, Cuba, Poland, Romania, Ukraine, or any number of Central American countries. What sounds really good in theory is what millions and millions of people risked their lives to escape from.

Americans need not look any further than our northern neighbor, never mind what is going on in Europe. Canada has turned socialist enough that a reported 10,000 Canadians a month are seeking and being granted asylum in America from their increasingly repressive socialist government. Even the Canadian Province of Alberta is trying to secede from Canada.

Recent American history is resplendent with examples of the flip-flopping of Democrats and the Democrat Party on issues depending on who it benefits. They are for something when they are in charge and against the same policy when Republicans are in charge. And, good heavens, watch out when it is a Trump or MAGA issue.

Double standards is the title of the liberal, progressive, socialist, communist, Democrat, and/or Democratic Socialists of America playbook. They have no plan, no answers, no principles, and no honor, but they do have their double standards, oh my!
