Obama has a very big problem with honesty

If Obama Were Pinocchio His Nose Would Be Visible From Space

After greatly angering a large percentage of the American public over the past few months, President Barack Obama is finally ready to articulate in detail during a joint session of Congress next week exactly what he has in mind for the future of American healthcare.

And I guess pigs will fly too. The thing about Obama is he has a very big problem with honesty, especially when it comes to healthcare reform. His real plans for the nation including rationing, multi-trillion dollar price tag, banning of private insurance, free healthcare for illegal aliens, and denial of treatment to seniors and so on isn’t going to sound appealing to Americans no matter how he spins it. Political commentators have said lately that Obama needs to better articulate his position on healthcare reform in order to get the bill passed. However, if Obama were to actually level with the country what exactly he has in mind for us, people would be marching in the streets demanding his resignation. To think that Barack Obama, “the most articulate President evah”, is incapable of explaining his position is absurd. Of course he can, but he knows perfectly well the country wouldn’t support him if he did. So we’re stuck with a President who apparently has no problem getting in front of the cameras to tell one gigantic fib after another. According to Obama he “will not sign any healthcare bill that adds to the national deficit.” FALSE … According to the CBO his plan is off by about a trillion dollars. Medicare is going broke and adding millions more people to the public healthcare rolls is going to save the country money? I’m no economist, but I figure you have to be living with your head in the sand to believe this. “If you like your health care plan, you can keep it.” FALSE … If you get your healthcare from an employer, like most Americans, and your employer decides that it is cheaper to move their employees to the public plan and proceeds to do so, you will have no choice in the matter. Estimates are that up to 100 million Americans will lose their current health insurance in this manner and will be forced against their will into government run plans. “The public option (will) collect premiums just like a private insurer and compete on a level playing field.” FALSE … The public option will have the power to set prices independent of the free market system, just like Medicare which routinely pays out 20% less than private insurers. Private insurance companies will not be able to compete with the superior pricing power of the federal government and will eventually be forced out of business. “There will be no cuts to Medicare benefits.” FALSE … In order to fund the public plan Obama has called for $360 billion in cuts to Medicare which he insists will be made up from increasing efficiencies and cutting back on fraud. However, the CBO estimates that the savings gained from such measures will be modest at best and will not come close to filling the budget gap caused by the Obama cuts. In addition, Medicare enrollment is expected to increase from 40 million today to 77 million by 2030 necessitating huge increases in funding to simply maintain current standards of care. Obama insists there are “46 million uninsured Americans.” FALSE … When you subtract out those who could afford health insurance but choose not to purchase it, young people between the ages of 18 and 30 who feel invulnerable and don’t care about health coverage, those who qualify for a government program but haven’t yet signed up, illegal aliens, and people in between jobs and are only temporarily uninsured you are left with only about 10-12 million Americans who truly unwillingly uninsured. We’ve already had a taste of the accuracy of Obama’s predictions with his February 2009 forecast of a $7 trillion deficit over the next 10 years that was recently increased to $9 trillion. He missed the mark by 2 trillion dollars! That has to be some kind of record. Our community organizing President has stretched his credibility to the breaking point due to his inability to be truthful with the nation. His speech to Congress next week is just another attempt for Obama to slap one more layer of lipstick on the healthcare reform pig and call it Christmas, and most Americans know it.
