"It is critical that President Obama remain focused on stopping the leak, containing and mitigating the environmental damage, providing assistance to those affected in the Gulf, and completing a thorough investigation of the spill's causes. I was encouraged that President Obama reiterated his support for offshore oil production as a necessary component of America's energy mix.
