Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide. ~ John AdamsThe Founding Fathers recognized human nature and the fact that power corrupts. In America today, we are living with an unprecedented level of corruption in our federal government in both the Legislative and the Executive Branches, including the career Civil Service, and Military elements of the Executive Branch. Today Americans are living in real time the reality that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
"However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion." ~ George Washington
"Occupants of public offices love power and are prone to abuse it." ~ George WashingtonIf the Republican Party isn’t willing to acknowledge the damage being done by today’s system, and are not patriotic enough to pick up this banner and get the job done, the Republican Party is simply not worth saving. If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. It is time to go in a totally new direction. I hope the Republican establishment loves America enough to make the hard choices that have to be made. I also hope there are a few patriotic Democrats out there that also see the corruption and love the America of our Founding Fathers enough to join Republicans in this effort. With God’s help, it can be done.
"The issue today is the same as it has been throughout all history, whether man shall be allowed to govern himself or be ruled by a small elite." ~ Thomas Jefferson

After a 55 year career as a professional pilot in the military, in law enforcement, in the private sector, and in federal civil service, I am now retired.
In many of these positions I repeatedly took an oath to defend the United States Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.
