Masada al Mujahideen, Arizona wildfires

Islamic fireworks in America

Masada al Mujahideen, a Palestinian jihadist group, has claimed credit for massive wildfires in Arizona in a statement posted on jihadist forums.

The statement boasted that 19 firefighters had been killed in Arizona, took credit for previous wildfires in Nevada and warned that Masada al Mujahideen would light more wildfires in the United States in the future. The statement was entitled “Masada al-Mujahideen Fulfilled its Promise and Attacked America Again After the Expiration of the Period with Fires that Achieved Historic Results” and was obtained and translated by the Search for International Terrorist Entities (SITE) Intelligence Group. Setting wildfires to sow as much terror, destruction and death as possible is something that al Qaeda has long advocated because it views the setting of fires as a form of jihad or holy war and it published an article in the spring 2012 edition of its online magazine entitled “It Is of Your Freedom to Ignite a Firebomb” which gave instructions on how to build bombs to set forests on fire. If Masada al Mujahideen’s claim is true it is a portent of things to come, of more and more fires being set in the future and more and more destruction and death as a result of fires lit by them or their fellow Islamists. If Masada al Mujahideen’s claim is not true taking credit is nothing more than savage, despicable and depraved and reveals members of the group for the monsters, activists and sickos they really are. Since they took credit for it in the name of Islam it reveals Islam for what it really is as well. As if knowledgeable, honest and objective observers didn’t know already anyway. As if anyone who recognizes and understands the true nature and essence of Islam and knows how it manifests itself in the world and has always manifested itself in the world didn’t know already anyway. Wildfire season in the United States is upon us. There will be massive wildfires and huge tracts of land will be destroyed, along with many homes and lives...there will also be many deaths, some civilian, some not. Some of the fires will be sparked by natural causes such as lightning, some will be caused by accident (by campers who didn’t put out their campfires properly or drivers who tossed cigarettes out their car windows for example), some will be caused by people who are fooling around and not aware of the danger and some will be purposely set for a variety of motives, revenge, insurance, jealousy, whatever. It is also entirely possible that some will be set by Islamists like Masada al Mujahideen and their fellow travellers in order to sow terror, destruction and death, just like al Qaeda wants them to. Americans should at least seriously consider the possibility next time they hear about a wildfire somewhere. And if its true in a particular instance...there’s no time like the present to act, is there? Yours sincerely, Jerry Philipson Comox, British Columbia, Canada
