Seeing through the fog "Informed Voters, Rise Up"! Stupid people are ruining America

It's not too late to save the saveable

I know a lot of people are frustrated and disgusted with the direction and lack of leadership of our nation. A lot of people are also fed up with the gridlock and bitter partisanship in Congress, and many think that simply changing party leadership or which party controls Congress will make everything better. Nope! It's not that easy. It's going to take rescuing more people from the land of the uninformed, so we can elect a genuine leader as president of the USA. It's that critical!
But first, here are some facts and observations, which confirm your frustrations and disgust: The U.S. economy, at 2 percent GDP growth, is barely growing at half its capacity for growth. The president and the Democrats want people to believe it's the new normal. It's not. We can do much better. The military is much smaller than seven years ago. Instead of being a leader nation in the world, we are a reactive nation. And too often we react too slowly or not at all. Diplomacy is fine when there is mutual respect and trust between nations. But our friends (if we have any left) don't trust us, and our enemies (we now have more of them) don't respect us. Social tensions are worse than they have been in decades. Natural born citizens are being pitted against illegal immigrants. Illegal immigrants are being pitted against legal immigrants. Class warfare advocates (hello, Hillary and Bernie) are running for president.

The political climate continues to worsen. Republicans and Democrats in Congress are fiercely divided. Establishment politicians don't represent Main Street USA. Some in the media have turned the presidential race into a personality contest, a he-said/she-said/he-said derby, and gotcha mania. Tensions between citizens and law enforcement are being stoked irresponsibly, resulting in the death of police officers trying to do their jobs, or just for being a police officer. And as a result, police officers all over the country are becoming reluctant to do their jobs. All lives matter! Period! And we have not heard one word from this administration denouncing the ill-purposed "Black Lives Matter" so-called movement. But we hear a lot from this administration about how the economy is in recovery (it's not!), how well ObamaCare is working (it's not!), how climate change is a crisis (it's not!), and how this lousy Iran deal is a good deal for the USA (it's not!). The president, his administration and Democrats in Congress believe if they just keep saying it, then enough gullible people will believe it. Unfortunately, that's true for way too many people. Just listen to the malarkey that Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are selling to get elected president. That malarkey is more free stuff, more federal debt and more government control over our lives. But it's not too late to save the savable! I am encouraged everyday on my radio show from callers and people I meet while traveling, who voluntarily offer their testimonials of seeing the light, and having left the plantation of deception. Solutions to our biggest challenges start at the top. The president of the USA must set the tone of unity, strength, proper priorities and aspirational goals, instead of political goals and weakness. It's what's said and not said, and what's done and not done, that sets the tone and direction of a great nation. And he or she cannot lead from behind, which is a ridiculous concept. Maybe this is why so many qualified Republicans are running for president. Most people have their favorites, but the good news is that we have a lot of good choices. However, we cannot let the media destroy the good candidates with false accusations from their past, media hyperbole about something they said decades ago, or purely irrelevant distractions. Since we have such a severe leadership void in the White House, maybe that's why more people are paying attention to the presidential race so early in the process. That's a good thing! But don't be fooled by the bull feathers. I'm not! I'm going to tell you the truth. Give you the facts. And set the record straight when someone slants the truth, ignore the facts, or tells a bald-faced lie! But if you believe there is no hope for a better direction for this country, then we are already defeated and the socialists and government bureaucrats win. And if you are looking for a presidential choice with no media-inspired controversy, no questionable statements in their past, and someone you will agree with on every issue, then the bad news is that there is no such candidate. As the presidential process continues to unfold, let's choose the best of the good, and avoid the worst of those bad for this country. To borrow a theme from the Atlanta Falcons football team, "Informed Voters, Rise Up"! Stupid people are ruining America. We can save the savable! And make this a better USA.
