If you're the kind of person who believes that all governments trend toward tyranny, the left portrays you as a kook. If you believe that this is happening to the U.S. Government, under the guidance of Barack Obama, you're a accused of being a tinfoil-hat nutjob.
To leftist statists, government is your friend. It's your teacher, your protector, and an arbiter of all that is good and right in your life.
While we have appreciated the good relationship he has had with the boss, Jon Stewart and his gaggle of Daily Show writers do have a tendency to fall into this kind of thinking.
So how does Stewart react when he finds out that all the "paranoid" conservatives were right about government overreach?

Of course, he's still a flaming progressive. As such, he'll never be able to bring himself to admit the reality of the administration's Benghazi cover-up, but it's still fun to watch Stewart realize that his favorite administration has no credibility.
The rats know their ship is taking on water...those with integrity would do well to follow Stewart's lead and acknowledge what's happening.
