Judicial Watch Wants to Know How Much Taxpayers are Spending on Robert Mueller's Security Detail

Government watchdog Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit Thursday seeking details about the cost of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's security detail. The move comes after the Department of Justice ignored a FOIA request submitted earlier this year on the topic. “The Justice Department, the FBI and Special Counsel Mueller’s continue to operate as if they are above the law,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton released in a statement. “The American people have a right to know how much taxpayer money is being thrown at Mueller’s massive investigation.
