Korryn Gaines: Madwoman or Martyr?

My first impression about this Baltimore County case was it seemed scripted. By scripted, I mean it reads like a zealot, determined to spark urban civil war against police, intentionally brandished (and used!) a shotgun against tactical officers with her five year positioned in the line of any return fire. Insanity is a conclusion many will draw, while others, myself included, offer another theory.

Insanity is a conclusion many will draw, while others, myself included, offer another theory. My theory is she staged this tragedy, with the cold-blooded aim of exploiting her sex and child as unimpeachable proof that police are so evil they would gun down women and children. A national emergency is supposed to erupt, fed by the professionally outraged and a fifth column in media and politics. Granted. I have an over-active imagination but this nightmarish possibility is no flight of fancy. A disturbing trend in Black extremism has methodically been escalating to mass assassination of police and now, possible use of mother/child matryrdom operations. These methods have more in common with foreign terrorists than aggrieved Americans- to date. The fact is urban civil war against police and what they represent is being promoted by violent rhetoric and tactics among military recruit age youth. Endless energy and nihilistic alienation are weaponized more surgically than operations producing daily street crime. Whether Korryn Gaines was a madwoman or martyr remains to be seen. I'm betting on the latter.
