Lee Anderson just unleashed a zinger at PMQs that’s got the whole House—and Twitter—buzzing

"The Minister for Rural Affairs claimed a farmer praised him for it. Must’ve been a cannabis farmer, because yesterday 10,000 REAL farmers were protesting against this madcap idea!"

Lee Anderson just unleashed a zinger at PMQs that’s got the whole House—and Twitter—buzzing.

Talking about the government’s barmy decision on inheritance tax, Lee said:

"The Minister for Rural Affairs claimed a farmer praised him for it. Must’ve been a cannabis farmer, because yesterday 10,000 REAL farmers were protesting against this madcap idea!"

And then came the kicker:

"Does the Deputy Prime Minister agree this decision should be binned—right next to Rachel from Accounts' CV?"

Angela Rayner at the despatch box must’ve been wondering if she’d wandered into a comedy club, after all, their lot are all clearly clowns!

But seriously, Lee’s bang on: farmers are the backbone of Britain, and taxing them out of existence? Utter madness. Time to listen to the real countryside voices, not some fantasy farmer and fake economist Chancellor from La-La Land!
