Intimidated and frightened by the common-sense daily commentary, free speech

Liberals make Sarah and Rush look good

A very good indicator of who America’s most prominent and well-intentioned people are can usually be determined by watching and listening to the other people such as our liberal Democratic leadership in Congress who are quick to denigrate and attack who and what are absolutely beneficial and good for our country.

Case in point: The woman and man in the United States who at this present period are making the most sense in their releases of information to the public are Alaska Governor and former candidate for Vice President, Sarah Palin, and talk radio supreme host Rush Limbaugh. Congressional leaders Senator Harry Reid, (D-NV) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, (D-CA) and even a threatening new President are so intimidated and frightened by the common-sense daily commentary of Rush Limbaugh that they are in an absolute dither trying to find ways of stripping him of his legal rights to free speech. Reid and Pelosi are not big proponents of free speech for others beyond themselves and their fellow liberal (ill-liberal?) Congressional bedfellows. They are not content with just total control of both houses of Congress that they obtained as a result of the November 2008 elections, but they now have the occupant of the White House in their corner. They have the power and even more ominously, the desire, to stop free speech in this country and limit speech to whatever it is that they favor. This strikingly un-American practice is being taken because of their great fear of the truth. They MUST limit all things that give warning to the voters that they bamboozled during the recent elections. The truth is the most feared thing that our liberal Congress can encounter. Truth is prevented when speech is prevented. So Reid and Pelosi simply want to stop free speech. How our youth will receive this attack on one of our most precious freedoms will be an interesting study. Basically those young people are of high intellect, but they have been brain-washed by the slick talking new President. How they will handle the loss of one of our basic freedoms which could come back to haunt them in the future will be critical. As a part of the glossy and slithery machine that fed the propaganda to Americans and to the world in general, these young Americans were so entranced by the oily rhetoric handed to them that they went lock, stock and barrel into the camp of the messiah. Too young and gullible and caught up in the emotion to see how fraught with danger all this largesse would be, the kiddoes went blindly and blithely to their shearing unaware that they are the ones that will have to pay the piper when the bills come due. As stated above, another victim of Reid and Pelosi’s untruths is the erudite, personable and widely idolized by persons of all political persuasions, Governor Sarah Palin; a compassionate, down-to-earth practical, home and family loving mother of five just chock full of plain old everyday folksy common sense and political savvy. She has been caught up in the afore-named liberal leaders stooping to new lows trying to dredge rumors and downright malicious lies and distortions of the truth about she and her family to make this outstanding woman look even worse than they themselves already do. All they have succeeded in doing is to plant egg on their own faces and lower their seriously limited esteem. As reported here at CFP from an online story on January 24, 2009, the Reid-Pelosi Congressional minions introduced a bill to permanently prohibit drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) in Alaska. Without a moment’s hesitation, Governor Palin made a statement announcing her dismay that such legislation “to prohibit oil and gas development in the most promising unexplored petroleum province in North America” was again introduced in Congress. In her super-enlightened and on-the-scene expert assessment she spoke of how Americans just six months ago were paying $4 or more for gasoline and also of today’s potential for rebounding prices, helped by OPEC’s assertion of its market power and Russia stirring the pot by disrupting natural gas it supplies to Europe, the second time in 3 years. As I recall, in late summer of 2008, Republicans were trying to force the Democrats to approve a measure to drill for oil on offshore areas. Pelosi ordered the House to shut down for a 2 week vacation and would do nothing. As a result of all the talk about drilling for our own oil in lieu of buying foreign oil, the price of oil began to drop. The oil producing nations were afraid that we might actually begin to drill for oil and that forced them to reduce prices on the huge amounts of oil stockpiled. Prices dropped from $4.25 a gallon down to less than $1.50 in just four months. In January of 2009, the Congress, now reinforced with even more Democrats and liberals, stopped any legislative attempts to drill for our own oil, and Obama, who is equally opposed to drilling for our own oil and about to be inaugurated, and suddenly the price of oil begins to climb up again. With the inauguration of Obama, and a solid majority of Congress in the hands of liberals who favor having the gasoline price raise once more to $3.50 per gallon, watch the skyrocketing price of oil take off. We can thank the American people, who not only returned the worst Congress in our nation’s history, but INCREASED their majorities in both houses of Congress; and in addition, elected a president who also wants to keep foreign oil producing countries wealthy and us in debt.
