Madeleine McCann detective who ‘fleeced £300,000 in public donations’ arrested in hotel

A private detective suspected of stealing £300,000 from the Madeleine McCann search fund has been arrested. Kevin Halligen, a self-styled security consultant, is alleged to have been paid £300,000 from the fund to help find the three-year-old.
