The Tea Party believe in every man for himself. … No more taxes, no more government, no more everything. No more safety net. … Make your buck. Save it. Screw the government. And from this, Matthews arrived at murder:
You know these people, if they were every man for himself down in that mine, they wouldn’t have gotten out. They would’ve been killing each other. But Matthews ended his grisly turn and finished his analysis on a more optimistic note, confirming that “This is a story of how people can work together.” At a time when the world is celebrating the rescue of the miners Matthews has to throw the Tea Party in to the equation just so he can justify his hatred for them. As he said the miners story shows how people can work together. That is actually a very good description of the Tea Party which has brought together all kinds of people, many of whom were not politically active to work together towards a common goal. Maybe that’s what really has Chris upset.
