McCain: Immigration bill will create ‘most militarized border since the fall of the Berlin Wall’

John McCain was at it again this morning, during an appearance on CNN. He was there to promote the "Gang of Eight" immigration Specifically, he was touting the Bob Corker/John Hoeven Amendment, which adherents believe will strengthen our Southern border.
"The legislation concerning beefed up border security removes any validity to the argument that border security is not sufficient," McCain said. "I mean this is not only sufficient, it is well over sufficient. We'll be the most militarized border since the fall of the Berlin Wall. That's why I think this amendment was very important." Here's a news flash for Senator McCain.

A: Everything in the Corker-Hoeven Amendment is subject to implementation at the hands of Janet Napolitano. If she chooses not to "beef up" the security, it won't happen. She has complete discretion about what, if anything is deployed. Given her track record, it's pretty clear that little will change. B: When arguing in favor of a new law, comparing its effects to the Berlin Wall is probably not the best plan.
Here's Senator McCain's appearance, in which he goes on to claim that a refusal to grant illegals amnesty is, in itself, defacto amnesty. Sadly, he neglected to take the opportunity to remind everyone that ignorance is strength, and that we've always been at war with Eastasia.
