Minneapolis Meltdown?

Tensions are growing over a fatal officer-involved shooting involving an ICE agent and a, take your pick, protester, legal observer or domestic terrorism suspect, according to conflicting accounts.

I'll refrain from my offering my opinion on immigration enforcement and address what I see as the nakedly partisan spin on a touchy subject which could touch off riots and targeted violence aimed at public figures.

Minneapolis’ hapless mayor has already declared the shooting unjustified.

This occurred one day after the January 6th, 2021 Capitol Hill breach, in the same city where George Floyd was killed in 2020, no less.

Minnesota's hapless governor Tim Walz may deploy the National Guard, with critics wondering aloud whether he'll order them to stop federal deportation efforts.

This sets the stage for a showdown with President Trump, who could federalize them in response, triggering more tensions and court challenges.

Looming over this ideologically charged use of force case is the congressional midterm elections and Democrats desperate need to rally their base by riling it up over another death involving a law enforcement officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Cynical. And predictable.

The left will use the death of Renee Nicole Good in the mercenary manner it monetized the demise of George Floyd.

As you can tell, I'm suspicious of their motives. I've seen this play before.

The last thing we need is more mass destruction and partisan profiteering, regardless of differing views on this officer-involved shooting or immigration.

Is a 'Minneapolis meltdown', among other cities, about to be ignited by corporate liberals and grassroots leftists?

Their desperation for leverage against President Trump and a Republican-controlled Congress strongly suggests so.
