I suppose it's not news that the political media are a bunch of humorless sourpusses, but apparently they think the same of you - and that especially goes for voters in the "Bible Belt" (does that even still exist?) who surely will squirm uncomfortably at the lampooning of Hillary Clinton in the style of Office Space. That's what you're all doing, right? Wringing your hand and saying, Oh deary me, pa, I am troubled and offended at this!
Yeah, that's what you're doing, right? Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
Chuck Todd is such a moron:
I really don't know what planet Todd and Andrea Mitchell are living on. I guess it's Planet Beltway, where no one ever has any fun and anything that pushes the envelope for the sake of humor is "harsh" and "uncomfortable" and bothers their touchy sensibilities oh so much. Remember, this is the town where people think Mark Russell is funny (or profess to think that). I'm not sure they know what to do when someone from their world is actually funny.
Speaking of which, here's the full Cruz ad:
I ask again, as I have asked before, where did Washington D.C. get the idea that Chuck Todd is some sort of sage with wisdom needed by the rest of us? He never deals in substance of any kind, and here, where he tries to show some sort of insight about the political appeal of an ad, he shows himself to be a humorless clod who thinks the lampooning of a dishonest, corrupt woman is more troubling than the woman's corruption and dishonesty.
This is pretty standard fare from Todd, and yet someone at NBC decided at some point that this is the guy who needs to be "asking the tough questions" and telling us how it is. He certainly has the arrogance and self-importance, but he has nothing in the way of actual understanding of anything that matters.
None of which should concern the Cruz campaign. Keep being clever and making your points (although you can stop running scared when they think they've got a talking point against you), and ignore the morons of the world. I realize there are many of them in this particular world, but remember that just because someone has a big microphone and a dopey goatee doesn't make him any less of a moron.
