Cut taxes; Cut spending; Bring manufacturing back to this country; Lower the debt limit; Pay down the debt; Ease up on regulations; Quit apologizing for us

Mr. Obama, unleash the American people

Congress failed to raise the debt limit in a dark of night vote. Yes! I’d like to believe that some of our Congressmen have come of age and are truly acting like adults. However, with her usual panache, Nancy Pelosi responded with, “The republicans are trying to play games with the country’s credit rating.”

Heaven forbid! Better the country collapse under the weight of its debt than we imperil our credit rating. In the final analysis, our credit rating is nothing more than a number attached to some bankers’ recognition of our ability to repay our debt. With a lower credit rating, we don’t get to borrow as much money so we can’t get so far in debt. Now I ask you, what’s the down side of this? Mr. Obama, the skeptic in me says you only want to raise the debt ceiling and increase spending to retain your own political power. You want to be re-elected next November. In fact, if you disregard your re-election chances and do the necessary things to save this country, you may find yourself with more political power than you ever dreamed.

Take pride in the U.S.

To save this nation you need to let the American people loose: cut taxes; cut spending; bring manufacturing back to this country; lower the debt limit; pay down the debt; ease up on regulations; and quit apologizing for us. Take pride in the U.S. and bring that pride with you wherever you go. Stop bowing to foreign potentates and stand with them at least as equals, if not their better. Put every able-bodied person back to work instead of on the public dole. Push for the reversal of Roe vs. Wade. Build up our military. Renew respect for the Constitution, and most of all, bring God back into the public arena. We need Him more than ever now. Unleash the American people on the economy and you will see success as never before. We are a fettered giant, waiting for the removal of our restraints. Once freed, we will grow this economy beyond all expectations. Do these, things, Mr. Obama, and you will see such a rebirth of life and vitality in all aspects of American life, that in truth, we will see our greatest days in years to come. Otherwise, we will continue down the spiral slope financially, socially, politically, and morally. And in less than 100 years, the United States of America, a free nation of free people, will be nothing more than a memory.
