MSNBC hosts have spent decades blurring the line between reality, lies, and David Lynchian comedy.
Yep, you heard that right. It seems Hayes is desperately worried that the hardcore right-wingers at the New York Times are engaged in a nefarious plot to make you love and defend their hero, Marco Rubio. ...And so far Hayes hasn't said he's joking.
Adding fuel to Hayes' fever dream is the smoking gun - a Rubio fundraising email which provides motive:
We should all be impressed with the way Chris Hayes has deftly managed to pierce Rubio's veil of secrecy. The Republican candidate didn't see an opportunity to turn a left wing attack into a fundraising point. No, sir. Rubio is pro-active. Obviously he created the New York Times stories knowing that he could use them to gather donations later. It's a diabolical plan worthy of Blofeld or the Cigarette Smoking Man.
Clearly, Rubio is a brilliant strategist.
....Or maybe Hayes is just an imbecile.
