Can Musk pull together a pro-American new political party, he hasn’t yet applied for formal status of the party, or will it be the same old, same old political theater?

As a longtime advocate for a new political party in America because the legacy parties have become only two sides of the same uniparty political coin, a machine that serves the politicians and not those who elected them, I find Musk’s idea refreshing. I think Musk’s concept of focusing only on some targeted districts to simply garner enough seats to control the swing votes in Congress and not to take over the whole country, is genius.
However, I question his timing. Like others, I suspect his new party will initially be populated by disgruntled defectors from the Socialist Democrat Party rather than American patriots that are more interested in moving America forward. Although there remains many undercover RINOs in President Trump’s MAGA movement, many of them are choosing not to run for reelection. As time goes on, I expect more of the RINOs will see the writing on the wall and abandon the legacy Republican ship. In the meantime, there is a lots of work to be done downstream at the state and local levels to truly fix what is broken in the Republican Party.
I anticipate that the current Socialist Democrats in Congress and their minions in the streets will continue their bizarre behavior through 2026, because they are so egotistical that they “know” they are damn right, no matter what the signs. That being the case, they are likely to take a big fall at the polls in November 2026, and what is now called the Democrat Party, will for all intents and purposes, die.
I expect that Musk’s American Party will likely become the new liberal party and will have no home for the Marxist nut jobs serving as the bosses of the Socialist Democrat Party. If the Republican Party can throw off its sinful ways, it may continue for decades to come, as the conservative political party.
I also expect that the American Party will have minimal impact before 2030, unless the demise of the old Democrat Party happens faster than anticipated. It took the American Socialist Party about 100 years to morph the Democrat Party into the Socialist Democrat Party it is today, so it will take time for Musk’s American Party to mature.
Had Musk tried to do this two years ago, I think he would have attracted a whole different clientele. Many Republicans viewed the Republican Party as the “Democrat light party” and would have jumped ship in a heartbeat. President Trump probably saved the Republican Party from itself. Republicans in Congress had forgotten their roots and their voters were frustrated beyond words.
There remains a certain degree of anti-Trumpism within the Beltway Bubble Republicans, but it seems like some old school Republicans are coming around or they are simply bailing out. In my mind, that is a good thing. However, to truly save the Republican Party, We the “MAGA” People in the states must see to the modification of the historic Republican machine. It has been the way it is for 100 years, and a new America First Republican political machine mindset needs to be established. It will be easier if the 48th President of the United States is another America First advocate. If not, it will be easy to fall back into the old destructive patterns.
By the time President Trump is ready to turn over the keys to the White House to the 48th President, he will have moved the American Republic’s federal bureaucracy much closer to what the Founding Fathers had in mind. However, to complete the job, We the People will have to be nearly as committed as were the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence. Demands will need to be made at the state and local level to get off the “Golden Teat” of the federal government and take much more responsibility for our own care and feeding. We have been living the reality of too much federal control over our lives, and to fully enjoy true liberty, we have to make our own way.
For the last 75 years, we have seen the failure of “one size fits all.” New York City (or any other major city) and Missoula, MT (or any other small town) have completely different requirements and expectations for a happy life. Round pegs simply don’t work in square holes. No amount of “more money” poured into one size fits all programs has ever solved those problems.
Can Musk pull together a pro-American new political party, he hasn’t yet applied for formal status of the party, or will it be the same old, same old political theater? So far, a viable third party has never been successful in America. That is the quandary Elon Musk faces.
