Nancy Pelosi: 'I don't think people want a new direction'

Probably the most enjoyable aspect of the Democrats post-election meltdown has been their utter inability to figure out why they lost. So far, we've heard them blame racism, sexism, bigotry, "fake news,” Russian hackers, the alleged "stupidity of the American voter," voter suppression, the FBI, voter fraud, gerrymandering, Bernie Sanders, Vladimir Putin, millennials, and something called the 'change election."
We can only assume that, once they run out of political enemies, they'll blame the Mayan calendar, Hale Bopp, the Y2k bug, and Nostradamus - anything to direct attention away from the inarguable fact that the party cheated its own voters to nominate one of the absolute worst candidates in political history. After 8 years of failed leadership, they really thought they were on a roll. They assumed that the progressive "golden age" had dawned, the GOP was dead, and their globalist dream was right around the corner. They thought wrong. 2016 wasn't so much a "change" year as it was a massive backlash against their overreach. Now, they're scrambling to pick up the pieces. ...But they're not going to simply let it all go. This gaggle of statists worked for decades and, make no mistake, they almost succeeded. So, rather than admit the reality of their situation, they're going to go down with the ship they spent so long building. Enter Nancy Pelosi - an increasingly unstable woman who steadfastly refuses to believe that voters want the country to head in a different direction....

"I don't think people want a new direction." Please, Democrats. Keep repeating that. Say it over and over like it's your transcendental meditation mantra. We want you to believe it with every fiber of your being. Don't change course. Don't learn your lesson. Continue your march into obscurity and irrelevance. "I don't think people want a new direction." "I don't think people want a new direction." "I don't think people want a new direction."
