Nephew of alderman killed in north St. Louis double shooting

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- The nephew of Ward 22 Alderman Jeffrey Boyd was shot and killed in a double shooting that occurred in north St. Louis Monday night.

Police said the two people were shot in the 5800 block of Lotus around 7:30 p.m. Boyd's nephew, who was between 17 and 21 years of age, was fatally shot in the chest. Another male of an unknown age was shot in the foot. Boyd said his nephew and the other victim were getting out of a car when they were ambushed by a gunman. Read more:
