In the heart of New Zealand’s largest city, lies some of the best local breweries the country has to offer. The recently launched “Big Beer Tours” – produced by Big Foody Food Tours – offers the perfect way to taste New Zealand’s world-class brew, while taking in the beauty of Auckland.

Stopping at three different locations, this three-hour walking tour of Auckland is scheduled for every Saturday and Sunday. Along the way, you will learn about the history of brewing in New Zealand, as well as experience the wide variety of beers throughout the city – with a guaranteed minimum of 14 tastings per tour. The guides at Big Beer Tours have a passion for microbrew that goes far beyond hosting weekend tours; their love of the brew is an integral part of who they are. This tour will introduce participants to the New Zealand hops plant and will give them the opportunity to walk through and learn about some of the city’s most historic and interesting neighbourhoods. Each stop on the tour provides guests with the chance to taste some unique Kiwi craft brews, as well as some great food pairings. This tour is a must for any beer lover. The tour is $125 NZD ($117 Cdn) per person. For more information, click here.
